When I married Bellena she already had children and
had made the decision to have her tubes tied after the birth of her last
child. While I love Bellena's children as if they were mine, I really
wanted a biological child of my own. We decided to talk to Bellena's
OB/GYN about our options and he referred us to
Dr. Jaime Vasquez for a
consultation. I was skeptical at first due to the fact Bellena's doctor
had cut, tied and burnt her tubes however, during our initial
consultation Dr. Vasquez spent a lot of time explaining our treatment
options in detail. We left his office that day knowing that we had come
to the right place. It was now up to us to decide which treatment we
felt would be best for us,
In Vitro Fertilization or a
tubal reversal.
After careful consideration we made the decision to proceed with a tubal
reversal. Therefore, on June 3, 2005 Bellena had the surgery that would
forever change our lives.
In September of 2005 (approximately three months
after Bellena's surgery) we found out she was pregnant. We made an
appointment to see Dr. Vasquez and he confirmed the pregnancy. The rest
is history as they say. I won't deny the fact the process was difficult
and challenging at times, however, we appreciated the fact that the
entire staff at The Center for Reproductive Health always made us feel
comfortable even calling us by name whether we visited the office or
just called.
Words
alone cannot express our appreciation for what Dr. Vasquez has done for
our family. On May 10, 2006 Miss Kaylee Young was born
weighing 9lbs, 7.8 oz and was 22” long.
